Leprechaun Contest

March 17th

Registration will open at 2pm

with judging to begin at

3pm for the Baby Show

followed by the Little Mr. & Miss Leprechaun Contest

The contest will be held at the Journal Building on the corner of Elson & McPherson in Kirksville

All contestants will walk in the parade with the Big Leprechaun

starting at 5pm

(1 1/2 block)

You are welcome to use strollers/wagons for the children

Dress up your little leprechauns and bring your camera to join in the fun in our Parade of Little Leprechauns!

Baby Show age divisions are as follows:

GIRLS

  • 0 - 6 months
  • 7 - 12 months
  • 13 - 18 months
  • 19 - 24 months

BOYS

  • 0 - 6 months
  • 7 - 12 months
  • 13 - 18 months
  • 19 - 24 months

Little Mr. & Miss Leprechaun age divisions are as follows:

The Bill Murrell Trophies will be given to the top male and female finisher. Top three finishers in each division will receive a medallion. Top three finishers in the 1.5 mile Fun Walk/Run will receive medals.

Kirksville St. Patrick's Day Celebration Parade Details

 

Join the 2011 Kirksville St. Patrick's Day Celebration in downtown Kirksville on Thursday, March 17th, 2011 as we celebrate everyone's favorite Irish holiday. One of the many exciting ways to get involved with the St. Patrick's Day Celebration is to spotlight your business, group, or organization through participating in Kirksville's St. Patrick's Day Parade.

TIME: The parade will begin at approximately 5:15pm in downtown Kirksville - rain or shine!

THEME: St. Patrick's Day! The colors of course are green and gold! All entries are welcome and we encourage your entry to be in keeping with the St. Patrick's Day theme. We also encourage entries to include some type of music - preferably something Irish!

JUDGING: The St. Patrick's Day Event Team will be coordinating a competition for entries. We do require that any parade entry, whether in the competition or not, be decorated. We ask that decorations be creative and more than just a sign. Judging will take place during the parade. Ribbons will be awarded to the TOP 3 entries.

ROUTE: TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE - The route will run on Elson Street. It will run from McPherson Street to Illinois Street.
